Welcome to... Sub-Saharan Africa! By: Ho Joon, Steve, Bo afr.jpg

Introduction
When we refer to Africa, we often think of it as an uncivilized, underdeveloped region with poor sanitation and harsh environments. However, there is much more to Africa, or more specifically Sub-Saharan Africa, than you had thought.
As you have probably guessed from the map, Sub-Saharan African is not the whole African region, but refers specifically to the regions south of Sahara. More specifically, it's all the countries in Africa except for Morocco, Algeria, Libya, and Egypt. There are 47 countries in total including Angola, Madagascar, Ethiopia and 44 other countries.
By the way, for your information, the top part outside of the Sub-Saharan Africa is called the Saharan Africa. These two regions are separated by climate.
